Amazingly Cheap Destinations In Asia
A few years ago, I was personally wondering where to travel in Asia in August so I reached out to my travel blogging friends to get their thoughts, opinions and experiences from traveling Asia in the summer months and below are all the recommendations I found. On top of the best places to visit in Asia in July and the best places to visit in August in Asia!
Indonesia is a clear winner as the best place to travel in July and August due to the weather!
Many of Indonesia’s islands will have blue skies and fewer rainy days, making it a perfect country for a summer vacation.
For example, I was in Gili Trawanong during Christmas and although it was hot, December is the start of the rainy season so we had a terrible downpour on Christmas Day! Whereas May, June, July, August and September provide almost no rain

In this list of where to go in Asia in July and August, I have recommendations for places in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Central Asia and the subcontinent that you can visit in July if you have a bit of flexibility. and August in Asia
Generally, I’ve tried to choose a place where the weather is comfortable even though it can be, and would be preferable, too hot, it won’t actually be humid which is terrible weather to travel in!
Also, some countries change depending on where you are, for example, Pakistan in July and August is very different. It’s unbearably hot where you fly into Lahore and Islamabad but once you fly into the mountains of northern Pakistan it’s beautiful weather!
I also try to choose places from the rainy season because usually July and August are the rainy season in most countries in Asia which is why planning a summer vacation in Asia can be so difficult!

Unfortunately you can’t do a 2 week India tour in July or August visiting the likes of Delhi, Rajasthan and the Taj Mahal!
However, the occasional heat and a bit of rain is not that bad and can really benefit your trip as you will avoid the crowds in low season and get better value by visiting this destination during the Asian summer months!
The Gili Islands in Indonesia are beautiful all year round but I would recommend visiting in July for the best weather in the Gili Islands. The days are warm and sunny and perfect for relaxing on the beach or snorkeling
The peak season runs from June to August and during these months, you can be sure of sunny, dry weather.
Incredible South East Asia Travel Routes
There are 3 islands to choose from and I would recommend Gili Air, especially if you are visiting in July. Gili Air is much quieter than Gili Air Travelan which is busy all year round but especially in the peak season. In contrast, Gili Air only has a scattering of hotels and beach bars so it won’t feel crowded even if all the hotels are fully booked. I would recommend booking well in advance
Gili Meno is also an option but in my opinion it’s a bit quiet with only 1 or 2 restaurants. It does, however, make the perfect place for a day escape and you can catch a boat between the islands
Gili Meno is probably the most beautiful but maybe a bit boring if you plan to stay more than a day or two. Gili Air, in my opinion, has the perfect combination of a quiet beach with the option to find a lively bar if you want some cocktails.
Spend your day soaking up the sun, snorkeling, cycling around the islands, enjoying good food and maybe treating yourself to a massage or trying some yoga. The Gili Islands are the best places to visit in July and I would recommend allocating at least 4 or 5 days on your Indonesia itinerary to visit.

It is a good choice to visit Bali in July and August as the weather is wonderful The weather is hot and there is little chance of rain It is high season but not peak season like Christmas time when prices are very high and the weather is not so good
August is a great time to enjoy Bali because of all the amazing festivals Buleng Festival, Bali International Kite Festival, Ubud Village Jazz Festival and Sanur Village Festival are some of the events on offer. Festivals in Bali are a great way to experience the local Balinese culture and cuisine
In August it is school term in Australia so you will experience less Australian holidays with your children It’s definitely summer vacation for Northern Hemisphere families but with so much distance to travel to the sand you don’t really notice many kids.

Exploring Bali in July and August when the weather is sunny and not too humid will help you experience all the amazing things Bali has to offer.
It’s not far from the Indonesian island of Sumba! This beautiful island boasts a rugged coastline lined with palm trees and unspoilt by development. July and August are the best time to visit Sumba Island because there is no rain or wind and you can enjoy long sunny days at the beach. Usually visited by boat from Bali or Lombok (although you can also catch a private flight from Denpasar Airport to Labuan Bajo, Ende or Mumere), Flores and Komodo are one of those destinations in Indonesia that should be on any traveler’s bucket list. .
Although both July and August are good times to visit Komodo Islands, perhaps August is slightly better if we take the weather into consideration. That said, before you go make sure the islands are open for tourism when you plan to go
The country’s government—like many in Southeast Asia—has begun to crack down on overtourism and the degradation of some of its islands; Shutting them down briefly for cleaning and regeneration
Once there, there are many possibilities to do things in Comodo From visiting the Komodo National Park to approaching the mighty Komodo dragon with a park guide, to exploring the beautiful islands (pictured here), Rinca Island and other islands like Pink Beach. Than the related Instagram pictures

The small Balinese village of Munduk is an amazing destination for outdoor lovers in Indonesia It’s a peaceful escape from some of Bali’s busiest destinations, Ubud and Kuta, making it a wonderful addition to any Bali itinerary.
July and August are some of the busiest months in Bali, which is a good time to visit Munduk to get away from the crowds. On top of that, July and August are the few rainy days in the village, meaning your stay is unlikely to be hampered by bad weather
The most popular activity in Munduk is trekking through the beautiful nature Of course the best trek is the Munduk Waterfalls Trek, which starts from the village and visits 3 nearby waterfalls within a few hours. Other treks are also possible, be it rice fields or other small waterfalls
Another great reason to visit
