Best Travel Destinations Asia March

Best Travel Destinations Asia March – I have been to Asia many times now, and here is my list of the best places to visit in March in Asia! Many of these countries I visit in the rainy season, in the high season and spent Christmas in Sri Lanka once. I can say that when I have been to these countries in March, it is the best time! However, I have added all the best months to visit besides March as well so you can decide when is the best time for you.

Indonesia is one of my favorite countries in Asia! Below are some places not to be missed while you’re here, and some visa information too!

Best Travel Destinations Asia March

That really depends on how much time you have! You can get a free 30 day stay visa so I would recommend spending at least 30 days here as there is so much to see! If you can come for two months, then you can get a visa on arrival, which is for 30 days but you can extend to get another 30 days. The maximum is 60 days of stay. If you want to explore Bali only then 2 weeks or a month is fine but for the other islands I would recommend spending as much time as possible in Indonesia.

Things To See And Do In Taiwan (updated 2023)

The rainy season starts from October to February. We have been in Bali in December and seen very little rain. It’s always a good time to come to Bali! However, March is a good time as you should have no rain at all so there is no risk of a sudden downpour!

March is also a good time because you can get some warmth before the European summer starts. High season is July to August so March is a good time to come before the high season, but after the rainy season! In 2020, Bali New Year is also in March which is an interesting experience. It is called Nyepi and is also celebrated with ‘Silent Day’.

Uluwatu is a paradise for surfers and beach lovers! There are so many to choose from. I’ve spent a few months in Uluwatu now and have narrowed it down to the 13 best beaches in Uluwatu! Make sure you don’t miss Green Bowl beach, Dreamland beach, Padang Padang and Karma beach to see the best sunset! Apart from the beach, there is an amazing place called Karang Boma cliff which is amazing to watch the sunset from the top of the cliff.

I would recommend staying at Karma Kandara to treat yourself or Bali Boarding House if you are on a budget and staying for a while.

Ho Chi Minh City Ranks #1 Out Of Top 7 Trending Destinations In Asia

Canggu is a digital nomad’s paradise and home to some beautiful beaches but most of all the most amazing cafes and restaurants. You can eat here until you explode. Everywhere is delicious. For breakfast, my favorite place is Common Bali, for lunch, Nude Cafe and for dinner Milk and Made is divine! Also Milk and made have 2-4-1 pizza on Tuesdays and Sundays! From Canggu drive North to Munduk to see the best waterfall in Bali!

Lemon Guesthouse is beautiful, has a swimming pool and big rooms and big beds. Also the bathroom is semi-outdoor and right in the center but on a very peaceful side street. If you want to stay at the coolest hostel, go to Alternative Beach!

Ubud is the cultural capital of Bali. With temples everywhere you turn, it is a beautiful place and not to be missed during your trip! It is also surrounded by rice terraces and rice fields everywhere you turn! Go to Tegallalang for sunrise, but it’s a tourist spot! However, there are many other paddy fields around so you will have plenty of options! If you love monkeys, don’t miss the opportunity to see the monkey forest in the heart of Ubud where you can get up close to the monkeys! For sunset, Mixuhan Ridge Walk is the best place! There are also some beautiful waterfalls in Ubud such as Tukad Cepung and Kanto Lampo!

Adiwana Bee House is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been! With 5 circular huts in a row that only face palm trees, rice terraces and ponds. It is the most beautiful and peaceful place, but only 10 minutes drive from the center of Ubud. It’s absolutely beautiful and the outdoor bathroom is the best! Not to mention the beautiful flower bath I have here. Then for even more luxury, head to The Udaya to stay in a private villa.

Southeast Asian Destinations To Add To Your Bucket List

Nusa Penida is a 30-minute boat ride from Bali. Go here to enjoy the amazing nature. Especially Kelingking Beach – T-rex Rock, Diamond Beach and Patah beach are a must see! Rent a scooter if you can drive and explore the island for a few days! Then if you have time also go to Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan for more epic beaches. In the rainy season, the sea can be quite rough, so in March hopefully you’ll have a smoother ride!

I went here 7 years ago so maybe a lot has changed. However, I went on a jungle trek in Bukit Lawang and loved it. We slept on the floor in the forest with no phone signal, washed in the river and walked all day. Face-to-face with orangutans and different kinds of creatures. I would really recommend visiting Sumatra for the less traveled part of Indonesia! We also climbed Mount Sibayak from a town called Berastagi. It was amazing to see the volcano spewing smelly gases and to see the sun rise from above.

I also came here 7 years ago! However, Borobudur and Prambanan Temples are very beautiful and a must do! I also want to come back after so many years. Mount Bromo is still on my bucket list so watch this space! If you go to Java make sure you climb Mount Bromo.

The best time to visit the west coast of Sri Lanka is December to March. Seasons are different on each side of Sri Lanka. The best time to visit the east coast is April to September, so the parade is right in between and a good time to visit the rest of the island.

March 2016 By Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia

You need at least 2 weeks to do a road trip around Sri Lanka. The best thing is to have a few days in each place and travel by car and driver or try some local transport!

Once you land, spend at least one night in Sri Lanka to get over any jetlag. I am not a busy capital but Colombo has some amazing places. The Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque is some of the most amazing architecture I have ever seen. There are also many other colorful temples to see so get out and explore!

For the best sunset view and an infinity pool overlooking all of Colombo, stay at Jetwing Colombo 7. The rooms are perfect and the infinity pool is so refreshing after a sweaty walk around Colombo!

Kandy is a beautiful city with a large white temple at its center located by the lake. The Temple of the Tooth Buddha is a must see. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and leave early as it will be hot and busy later in the day. Kandy is also home to an amazing botanical garden, so spend a few hours a day walking through this amazing place.

Theva Residency is the most beautiful hotel. Located on the side of a mountain, the infinity pool faces the sunset and is magical. The food is amazing, a Sri Lankan breakfast I could eat every day!

From Kandy, take a scenic train to Ella. It’s a 6 hour drive but I promise you won’t be bored for a second! You will pass through rice terraces, thick forests, and if you take the train then you will also watch the sunset from the train. Top tip is to sit in second class so you can lean out the window for a photo!

Ella is one of my favorite places in Sri Lanka. There is so much to do here, so spend at least 3 or 4 nights here. My favorite things are climbing Little Adam’s peak at sunrise, Ella Rock at sunset and swimming at Diyaluma Falls. These are some of the largest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Then the Nine Arches bridge is a must see, surrounded by tea plantations.

Before we actually entered the National Park here, there were two elephants. The national park is filled with amazing animals and nature, and sunrise trips are the best! It is quite cold and therefore the animals are more active. It was an early start from Ella, but the car and driver were not too expensive and also waited for us and took us to Weligama afterwards.

Bali Government Will Drop Quarantine And Resume Visa On Arrival By March 7

Surfing is great fun at Weligama! This is a beach town full of surfers and hostels. If
