Hotel Xcaret Travel Packages – Interested in Hotel Xcaret in Mexico and want an honest review? In 2020, Denver and I managed to find a few nights at the beautiful Xcaret Hotel Mexico and decided to take a weekend adventure at our first ever all-inclusive resort. I’ll start this review by saying that we were incredibly skeptical and it turns out we fell in love with the resort and are counting down the days until we can go back!

Hotel Xcaret México is an amazing all-inclusive resort located right on the water in Playa del Carmen along Highway 307. It’s about a 45 minute drive from Cancun International Airport with plenty of hotel shuttle service to get you there and back. airport easily.

The resort itself is named after the archaeological site of Xcaret, a settlement built by the Mayan people, and fits into the rich sustainable mission of the Xcaret hotel. The hotel group has a huge focus on sustainability, which you can learn more about on their website with a focus on reusing the geographic terrain and a mission to care for their community and people. The resort also adapts to the landscape and features a number of stunning coves, rivers, forests and gardens from the geography of the region.

What You Need To Know Before You Visit Xcaret In Mexico’s Riviera Maya

In addition to all-inclusive dining at 11 on-site restaurants, drinks at any of the restaurants and bars, transportation to and from the airport, and access to all of the hotel’s amazing features, Hotel Xcaret also includes access to all 7 restaurants. their parks with hotel!

I cannot stress enough how unique and incredible this is! We loved the all-inclusive dining and drinking and were thrilled to be able to go kayaking or paddleboarding on the river too, so access to the parks was just icing on the cake. These water parks will easily keep you entertained for 7 days straight, and that’s not even including the time you can spend exploring the hotel grounds!

Four different types of rooms and suites are available at the Xcaret Hotel: Junior Suites, Suites, Swim-Ups and Master Suites. Each one is available in different “houses” throughout the property with the additional choice of whether you want garden, spa, river or ocean views.

During our stay we booked an adult room with a garden view on the second floor and it was one of the most amazing rooms we have ever stayed in. Including some crazy rooms we have stayed in South Africa and Hong Kong! The room had EVERYTHING you could think of and an amazing outdoor deck with a hammock to relax on.

About Hotel Xcaret Mexico

While we absolutely loved our garden room, we think the best rooms in the hotel have to be the suites with direct pool access OR the river suites with amazing dive platforms right into the river. They are ideal for families with children as it is the best way to keep an eye on the children and let them enjoy access to the river from the room!

The food at Xcaret restaurants is one of the best meals I have ever had. We came in with lower expectations for resort food and left incredibly impressed. No matter which restaurant you eat at, I have no doubt you will find the food to be phenomenal!

HA – Ha was the only restaurant we ate at that required an additional cost of $150 per person. To be clear, we got this meal included when we visited right after the hotel reopened from COVID and offered food included with the stay. However, this was one of the 3 best meals I have ever had in my life and I would pay for it any day. And that’s compared to some of the best restaurants in the world. The food, drinks and overall experience were truly

LA TRAJINERA – This restaurant is located right next to the hotel’s main pool, and this is where we had low expectations. However, every bite we had was delicious. We ate 2/3 of our meals here because we just couldn’t resist going back. It had the most convenient location and some of the best food!

XIN-GAO – We’re total suckers for good sushi (we’re spoiled by Uchi in Austin) and oh my gosh Xin Gao was delicious. In fact we barely managed to snag a booking and had an amazing time and were so lucky. Every bite was amazing and even though we were full, we kept ordering because we knew we wanted to try everything!

If the reviews above about the amazing rooms, restaurants and parks don’t sell you, I hope the hotel activity bonus will! Hotel Xcaret is absolutely different from the caliber of activities that the park offers. Almost every feature in the park itself (even including the Xcaret parks) is included in your stay! Our favorites include:

Paddleboarding and Kayaking on the River: This was our first time paddleboarding in Denver and we loved that it was included in the hotel just by accident! Instead of just lying by the pool all day, we got to be active and enjoy walking along these rivers and enjoying their beauty.

Hidden Water Slides: We decided to wander the property one day and came across MULTIPLE hidden water slides! These slides were a blast and threw you right into the river. We loved that these hidden gems existed and spent hours one afternoon looking for all 7 when we heard there were more!

Fitness Obstacle Course: Our lovely concierge let us know that instead of a gym, we could look for an obstacle course on the property! It was a blast and even how we hit the water slides. It’s a great ropes and fitness course designed to be a full-on workout and a blast at the same time.

Evening Shows: While none of the shows were on during our stay due to COVID, we love that the shows are there for those who don’t want to go to the parks that night!

When you book a room at an Xcaret hotel, you also get access to 7 Xcaret parks and transportation to and from the parks every day! We loved it at the hotel and loved having even more to do in the parks. A huge advantage if you are there with family!

Xcaret Park: Xcaret’s main park with ocean life shows, underground rivers, amazing beaches, large cenotes and plenty of restaurants and bars to relax! We spent a day in this one and loved it. We also really enjoyed the Mexican culture shows from different regions in Mexico!

Hotel Xcaret Arte Review (best Restaurants, Map, Tips)

Xel-Ha Park: Xcaret Nature Park with outdoor activities like snorkeling and swimming! The park to go to if you want to spend time walking through natural forests and enjoy swimming in the river.

Xplor Park: A park for extreme adventures like rafting across the river, ziplining on top of the Riviera and exploring natural caves along the water! A blast if you want a more active day.

Xavage Park: Looking for even more adventure? Head to Xavage for wild ropes courses, 4-wheel drives through the rocky landscape, kayaking in the rapids or a fast jet boat ride. Not just for adults, all activities are safe and fun for kids too!

Xplor Fuego Park: A night park at the Xcaret Hotel that offers journeys through torch-lit roads, paddling along their “laval” rivers and flying through ziplines while enjoying an incredibly delicious barbecue.

Riviera Maya All Inclusive Resort

Xoximilco Park: A festival-based park with gondolas through the jungle, mariachi dancing and singing, and a traditional dinner!

Xenses Park: Everything in the park is designed to throw your senses to the wind and explore a virtual world turned upside down. From thrills to whirlwinds to everything in between, this park is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Xenotes Park: This is the only park that requires reservations as it takes you to the actual cenotes and adventures outside the park. You will go with a guide who knows the history and the region and explore it on your own. You will end your adventurous day with a luxurious picnic!

We are seriously counting down the days until we can go back as it was the best hotel stay we have ever had. The incredible attention to detail, the delicious food and drinks, the attractions and the property itself was beyond anything we could have imagined. If you discuss it, trust me you won’t regret your stay. We LOVED it and would rate every aspect 5 stars.
