Tips Traveling With Toddler On Airplane – We just got back from our first flight traveling with a baby and survived! I wanted to put together my tips for traveling with a baby from our experience. Sharing everything we bring to keep our baby on the flight, as well as travel accessories for flying with baby. I’m also sharing what we plan to use for our baby’s sleepovers at the hotel. Unfortunately, our special hotel room wasn’t big enough for the inflatable crib we brought, so we had to go to plan B. I felt like I didn’t know what we needed or what was best and didn’t need all the advice for traveling with kids. What kind of car do you use when you travel? What do you use to get the kids to sleep when they travel? Should we bring our car seat when we travel or rent? How to keep a baby on a plane? There’s a lot to consider! Here’s all my tips for traveling with a baby in one place that I hope will make it easier for other moms! Honestly, our trip was so relaxing, so I hope these things help make your trip with your kids easier!
Tips Traveling With Toddler On Airplane
I hope this article will help answer many of these questions for you and give you all the tips you need for traveling with a baby. I share what we did and what helped us make those decisions for our special trip. Every flight and destination is different, so I’ll share all the factors to consider!
Tips To Help Your Toddler Sleep On A Plane • Flying With A Baby
Thank goodness both of our flights were with Luke! If possible, I recommend planning your flight so that your baby sleeps for at least part of the flight. Our flight was short, which makes it easy. If you are taking a long flight, I would recommend planning your nap time at the beginning of the flight and be ready with a snack or snack for when your baby wakes up on the flight. The airport is an exciting and exciting place for a baby, so it’s likely that your baby will be ready for bed shortly after the flight.
Second, if your baby is still nursing, have a bottle ready to nurse during the flight to help with pressure changes. It worked really well for us. I think this might be one of my top tips for traveling with a baby. I bought this shelf stable milk before our trip and had a box sent directly to our hotel during our trip. So we didn’t have to worry about the milk getting cold on the way. If your baby is still breastfeeding or prefers refrigerated milk, I recommend using these thermoses to keep milk cold or warm at the airport. I did it for the flight and it worked great.
If your baby is no longer drinking milk, try sprinkling some water or a bag of applesauce to help open their ears. On my Instagram account, @, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what kind of fiber glass/bottle we use. We love this sippy cup because it doesn’t spill, the sippy goes to the bottom and our son loves to drink from it.
Snacks are always good, or if your child isn’t hungry, they don’t want to eat. If you’re flying at lunch or dinner time, make sure you’re prepared with snacks. I also recommend foods that don’t spoil too much. I love these puffed buns or these buns for unscratched meals. Again, applesauce or fruit pies are great options for the flight, as well as string cheese. Our son really likes all of these. 🙂
How To Survive A Long Haul Flight With Kids, According To An Emirates Flight Attendant
For an in-flight meal, I find that grilled cheese, pancakes, or waffles aren’t too messy without any extras. Packed for the flight were a silicone bib, my son’s water cup, a baby bottle, and these floor mats to clean the back of the seat. If you’re more into full meals, I bring this travel spot for kids when we eat and I definitely recommend it. It’s perfect for travel and packs up small items, and it sticks well to tablets to leave a nice space for your little one.
In the next installment of my tips for traveling with a baby, how to keep a baby entertained on a plane. The name of the game is variety and things that don’t take up too much space on your resume. Our son is bored with board books, so I brought one of his favorites. It was also great because our insomnia was always reading a book before bed, so we were able to help him fall asleep.
I bought one of these Pop-Its a month before our flight. I dropped it off so it was a new toy and it lasted at least 30 minutes on the outbound flight before I put it to sleep. He also loved our trip and was great at restaurants and flights.
These toy packing cups are for restaurants and on the go with my son. They nest together so they take up very little space and our son loves to keep them in the nest or nest. They double as a bath toy, so cut down on what you have to pack! Another great trick for flyers is post-it flags or stickers. Your child can repeat them on the couch or on the treadmill for a fun, inexpensive game.

I got the No Mess Color Wonder coloring pages and markers for Luke to color on the plane too. He really loved them and loved collecting markers. What makes them happy, right lol? A small collection of printable beads and a new coloring book are also great options.
Changing a baby’s stomach on a plane or in an airport lounge is not the easiest thing to do. But I think there are a few things that could make it a little better and easier. My favorite and most recommended stomach bag comes with a stomach changing pad, as I often do. I also use disposable changing pads when I change Luke in public. It gives you a little more space for your little one to sleep in, and in case of a spill or a surprise pee, it keeps your other changing pad clean so you can just throw it in your bag and go.
I also recommend bringing disposable bags to put the dirty decorations in before putting them in the airplane trash. Your coworkers will thank you 😉 I also have this portable diaper changing pad that holds a few diapers and a pack of wipes that I can carry on the go. Flying is a great option to keep everything in one place when you don’t have a place to put it all, and it’s easy to wipe down. I recommend packing one of the disposable changing covers I linked above.
Choosing what stroller to bring is probably one of the biggest decisions you’ll make when traveling with a baby. It refers to several things. One, do you have just one child or many? Two, will you be walking a lot at your destination, or will you be driving a rental car or taking public transportation? Three, what’s your destination?
Tips To Get A Toddler To Sleep On Plane
For our family trip to Savannah with our toddler, we decided to bring a tour rather than a tour on this tour. Of course, the traveler would be lighter and more compact. However, we knew we would be walking everywhere when we were in Savannah, and most of the streets are cobblestone or rough surfaces. Because of this, we needed touring bikes that could handle the places we would be on our trip. Also, having a larger basket at the bottom of the stroller is very useful for pushing your backpack, picnic/park blanket, souvenirs, or anything else you might need or buy. Another plus is that this stroller was more comfortable for our son to sleep in, which he did several times during our visit
