Since we’ve written so many other tree posts at this point, it feels right to write one about travel. It really is a gold mine for travel products.

Not only do they have tons of products to make traveling easier, but they also have some handy travel hacks.

Travel Hack Tips To Save You Time And Money

There are a few simple things you can do – place a plastic sheet under the lid and then slide the lid back on. You can put a shower cap on top (which is not my favorite). Place an unopened balloon over the opening of the bottle, then place a rubber band under it. I feel like it could work…but if the ball gets to him, it’s just asking for disaster!

This can help protect them a little in the suitcase. I’ve also seen people use these to help cool down straighteners, curling irons, etc.

My friend also did a really cool tutorial on DIY flat iron holders using hot buttons. This is another great idea.

Hack For Finding Cheaper Flights

Can’t live without your favorite shampoo, but want to take it all with you? Fill this mini shampoo bottle with shampoo, conditioner, and more. They even have little sprinkles!

This will keep them from getting a nasty, sticky mess. You can use paper, though I recommend silicone ones if possible.

Pick up a $1 shower curtain from the Dollar Tree and place it in the sand at the beach to fill your little one with some water. Perfect for toddlers to splash around in (supervision is of course required)!

You can put your children’s food, coloring things, etc. in the place next to them.

Simplify dressing on trips. Place clothing and accessories in gallon-sized Ziplock bags. Makes packing easier too!

I’m just saying it’s a good idea to wear some kind of shoes when you shower in hotels. You don’t know how clean they were, or who used the room before they had a fungal infection!

Sunburns are miserable. This idea from Masshole Mommy is pretty cool – aloe vera is soothing and cooling. I saw aloe vera at Dollar Tree and you can also get some ice cube trays for cheap to make this night before any day in the sun.

I definitely recommend bringing one of these to hotels, where it’s hard to keep the lights on regularly without waking everyone up. He can also sense that the jocks are a little scared in the new environment.

I wish we had these when we went to Disney last year. If you’re doing a lot of walking, these are a must. I found this at the store.

Dollar Tree has a variety of OTC medications that are travel friendly. We often try to bring common medicines to different patients because someone almost always seems to be sick. Check the expiration date.
