Your trip cancellation coverage begins at 1:01 a.m. the day after the policy is paid for. If the guest does not cancel prior to check-in and arrives on the original scheduled check-in date, trip interruption coverage will then take effect at check-in and cease at check-out.

This has been our position regarding guests who have been infected with the corona virus since March, so there should not be many, if any, who are turned away. The laboratory results of the personal test are sufficient, so you will need to make an appointment with your doctor. Specifically, the insurance company will require an attached physician’s statement (page 4 of the claim packet) to be completed by their physician.

We would not monitor their symptoms or quarantine period. We would only need to see that they contacted the virus while their coverage was in effect, that they were examined by a doctor during the period, and that the doctor advised them not to travel.
